How do I register for Making Contact: A Training for COVID-19 Contact Tracers?

Who should I contact if I am unable to create an account or register for the course?

Please direct all account and registration issues to our support email address support@astho.freshdesk.com.    

How do I access the course?

If you are returning to the course or navigating there for the first time you can access the course using this direct link https://learn.astho.org/p/ContactTracer.

What if the buttons don’t appear?

If you are unable to access or launch any aspects of the page after refreshing the page, it may be the system or browser in which you are using. We are encouraging the following system and browser specifications. 

  • 2 GB RAM or higher 
  • 2.0 GHz Intel or AMD processor 
  • Windows XP or Windows 7 or later/ OS 10.6 or later
  • Firefox 3.6 or later, Google Chrome 7.0 or later  

What do I do if a page does not load?

Due to increased volume of distance learning, high traffic times (1-4 PM EST.) can slow down the processing speed of the website. If a page does not open for you, we ask that you close out each ASTHO eLearning tab, navigate back to eLearning Center, sign-in, and try the page again.

If the above method does not allow you to open the page, we ask that close out the browser page you are working in, wait 15-20 minutes, and then return to the page to try again.

Why won’t the assessment allow me to submit or advance?

There are a few questions in the pre-assessment that ask you to Select All That Apply. If you select more than the allotted number of correct answers for the question the quiz will not allow you to submit. Please reference the question points in the bottom right hand corner of the question to determine how many selections to make.

Why won’t the lesson assessment unlock for me?

You are required to engage with the lesson content for a specific amount of time before you can access the assessment. If the assessment has not opened when you return to your course menu you have not met the required time and should reopen the lesson content.

Once I advance past a component can I access it again?

Yes. Once you unlock a lesson, assessment, or certificate you can open and view that component whenever you would like and as many times as you need. Just select the title again to expand the section to see your viewing options.

How do I get my certificate of completion?

Once you have completed all four lessons, assessments, and course evaluation the certificate of completion component will unlock and allow you to access and download.  

Will this course connect me to a contact tracing position?

At this time the course does not connect those that earn the certificate of completion to jobs or volunteer opportunities. We encourage you to search for positions online and reach out to your local and state health departments about possible locations.
